Dear Professor Oleg,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Imran Ullah, and I am writing to express my interest in the PhD program in Phonetics at University of Russia, where you are affiliated as a professor. I have been impressed by your groundbreaking research in phonetics, particularly your work on phonology and prosody etc.
I hold my MPhil in applied linguistics from University of SBB Sheringal Dir, Upper, Pk, where I developed a strong foundation in language recognition and speech interpretation and I worked in the area of phonetics and acoustics phonetics where I find something which is very important for native and non native speakers in the area of research. During my studies, I conducted research projects on the influence of the mother tongue in the perception of English plosive and fricative sounds of Pashto speakers. These experiences have fueled my passion for understanding the complexities of bilingual language processing and the role of phonetics in linguistic diversity.
I am particularly drawn to areas of interest and develop a new research project which is related to bilingualism and phonetics etc , as I believe it aligns well with my research interests and goals. I am impressed by the interdisciplinary approach of the program, combining linguistics, psychology, and neuroscience perspectives to study bilingualism and phonetics.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with more information about the PhD program, including the application process, potential research opportunities, and any upcoming events or seminars related to bilingualism and phonetics. Additionally, I am keen on discussing the possibility of joining your research group or collaborating on projects related to bilingual language processing and phonetic analysis. I want to send my resume to work in your area of research. I hope you will give us a chance to work with you as a PhD student.
